Vortex flow meters with display
The flow meters of the SV series monitor hydrous media. They detect the two process categories volumetric flow and medium temperature. They are frequently used in cooling circuits, e.g. in steelworks, the automotive industry and in glassmaking. The sensors operate to the vortex measuring principle. Behind a blunt body (or shedder) integrated in the measuring pipe, the flowing medium generates swirling vortices depending on the velocity. These vortices are a reliable indicator of the flow rate. The vortex principle is virtually independent of pressure and temperature fluctuations of the medium. The units feature a bright display to indicate process values. The current flow and temperature are output as an analogue signal, frequency signal, switching output or via IO-Link as an option. Parameter setting is effected via the buttons on the sensor. The sensor can also be configured via IO-Link, e.g. using a USB interface. The LINERECORDER SENSOR software is used to visualise, transfer and archive parameter sets.
