AS-Interface wiring technology
The AS-i flat cable is an essential component of the quick connection concept, in which all components are connected via two poles by means of the insulation displacement technology. Connection cables, flat cable splitters, insulation displacement connectors, wirable plugs and sockets are used for the connection of sensors and actuators. AS-i repeaters serve to extend the cable length of an AS-i network by another 100 metres. The AS-i bus termination and further test and diagnostic units are used to detect and prevent communication problems in the network.
